Seoul beltway Construction Project
Samwhan is participating, as a consortium member, in the Seoul Beltway construction project, which is being performed on a BOT basis. Total length of the Seoul Beltway is 36.3 km starting from Naegok-dong, Goyangsi to Byeollae-myoun, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do Province with the width of 37.8m (8 lanes). Construction period of the project is from june 2001 to February 2007. After completion of the work, the Beltway will be operated by the consortium for 30 years until February 2037. Total project budget is about 2 trillion Korean won. As one of the most reliable constractors at home, Samwhan has been participating in the construction of Contour Beltway Project in the metropolitan area. From October 1995 through December 1999. this 2.7km long beltway has been successfully carried out and completed by Samwhan. The best feature of the Works is 1,873m long 4-lane Suri tunnel consisting of 2 separate tunnels.
