SANG(Saudi Arabian National Guard) Hqs. Complex
 A modern and gigantic building complex for the Saudi Arabian National Guard(SANG) Hqs. with a total floor area of 828,000 §³ . It took four years to complete the works from
September 1976 to October 1980.

Complex. (October 1980)

NCB(National Commercial Bank) Hqs. Building
Ground was broken for this ultramodern National Commercial Bank Building in Jeddah in
November 1979. 27-story building with 1-story basement and attached 6-story building
for parking garage with a total floor area of 74,510 §³ were completed in 1984.

Markaz Al Mahmal Commercial Complex
This complex, which consists of luxurious buildings with arch-type marble and pair glass
tunnels, has a total floor area of 46,200 §³ .
There are one 7-story shopping center building, one 7-story parking garage building,
one mosque, etc.
The tower building is an office building of complex. This 21-story building measuress 12,580 §³
in floor area. This complex was completed in 1989.

GOSI(General Organization for Social Insurance) Main Office Building
A 6 story with 2-story basement office building with total floor area of 31,788 §³ was
completed in 1987.
GOSI Office Building & Commercial Center
Construction was commenced in January 1978 and completed in November 1979.
These buildings are for the General Organization fir Social Insurance in Riyadh and have
one 3-story and two 7-story buildings with Steel Structure and P.C. Sunscreen Panel.
GOSI Hqs. Building Expansion Project
Office building of 8 story with 3-story basement and attached 1-story substation with the
total floor area of 35,626 §³ were completed in 1987.

Jeddah Housing Compound
SWCC(Saline Water Conversion Corp.)
Jeddah Housing Compound project was for
the construction of houses for 237 family units
of which total floor area was 59,640 §³.
They were provided for SWCC staff and included
30km-long access road and various auxiliary
facilities such as swimming pool,
shopping store, sewerage treatment plant,
electrical and mechanical facilities, etc.
The project was completed in 1981.

King's Palace & Crown Prince's Palace
His Royal Majesty King's Palace and his Royal Highness Crown Prince's Palace.
Samwhan undertook the structural and interior works for these palaces.
Construction was commenced in 1978 and completed in 1981.

KKMC(King Khalid Military City) Project
The construction of king Khalid Military City was a
prestigious project of whicj budget was amounting
to 8 billion US dollars.
KKMC is located at the northern border of Saudi
Arabia was constructed by scores of contractors.
Samwhan, as a forerunner in the field of pre-cast
concrete fabrication, supplied various kinds of
precast concrete materials to all the job sites in
KKMC area,
With the monthly production capacity of 25,000 §³,
this is the biggest precast production plant ever
built in the world.
Together with this construction support servicess
(P.C. Fabrication) contract, Samwhan carried out
3 other industrial facilities and housing projects in
the adjacent area. Total contract amount of these
4 projects reached 1.1 billion US dollars in value.
KKMC Special Projects

Phase I with a total floor space of 250,000 §³.
Completed in 1983.
- Areas 4 & 15 Family Housing and Support
facilities with a total floor spaces of 212,000 §³.
Completed in 1985.
- Design and construction of VIP Facilities
Phase II eith a total floor space of 6,046 §³.
Completed in 1985.
- areas 8 & 12 Family and Industrial Facilities
Phase II with a total floor space of 350,000 §³.
Completed in 1986.
- Meanwhile, we carried out the Support
Service Phases V and Miscellaneous Projects
in this military city from 1986 to 1987.

Al Hasa Inpatient Facilities and Clinic Expansion Project
This medical complex consists of three new buildings and other auxiliary facilities.
The total floor area is 23,776 §³ , and it was completed in 1985.
The client is Arabian American Oil Co.(ARAMCO)

Bachelor Housing Project
This housing facility consists of 15 housing units, two laundry units and other auxiliary facilities
with a total floor area of 48,483 §³ . Completed in 1985. The client is ARAMCO.

Photogrammetry Building
Steel / Concrete Structure. Total floor area is 8,000 §³. It was completed in July 1979.

Financial Information Center Building
This building completed in 1980, has a TV studio, an auditorium and conference hall, etc.

Al Ula ~ Khaybar Highway
This is the first project executed by a Korean contractor in the Middle East.

This 175km-long state highway with 22 bridges and 217 box culverts, running through a vast expance of bleak desert and rocky terrains at the altitude of 700m above from the sea level,
was Section III of Yanbu-Rada Road was completed in December 1977 after 4 years of
strenuous work.

Makkah ~ Jeddah Expressway
Construction of an 8-lane, 20.2km-long highway linking Makkah and Jeddah, with the which of
38m (pavement 15m x 2, exterior shoulder 2m x 2, interior shoulder 2m x 2) was commenced
in June 1977 and completed in September 1980.
The client was Ministry of Communication, Saudi Arabia.

Makkah Road, Contract ¥²
Construction cost : US$ 17,647,430 / Description : Total Length 2.5 km(W=60m)
2 Bridges L=30m(W=26.5m) / 2 Underpasses L=1,505m R/Wall 2,957m(H=7.3m),
Construction period : March 1986 to December 1989

Al Kattab/ Al Kharji/ Al Railroad Interchange
Samwhan started this work in 1984 and completed in 1987.
This project covers road construction, with
the total length of 4,579m and three underpasses,
one bridge, etc.
The Client is Municipality of Riyadh.

Makkah ~ Medina Expressway
Samwhan started this work in 1981 and completed in 1984.
This is a 6-lane, 56km-long expressway linking Makkah and Medina with 24 Bridges and
2 interchanges. Its client is Ministry of Communication, Saudi Arabia.

Jeddah Korean Park

In 1983, when Samwhan welcomed and
celebrated the 10th anniversary of its
venture in Saudi Arabia,
Samwhan, for its memorial, built the
Korean Park and presented it to the
Municipality of Jeddah as a symnol of
friendship and good will between
Korea and Saudi arabia.


Jeddah City Improvement & Beautification Project
This was a full-scale renovation project for Jeddah, the largest port city in Saudi Arabia and
comprised of a wide variety of works such as repavement and expansion of city roads,
construction of bridges, underpasses, public parks, etc.
Phases I and II of the project were all awarded to Samwhan on a free-contract basis, reflecting
Samwhan's high-rising fame as one of the most reliable and competent contractors.
Project was commenced in 1974 and completed in 1986.

Medina Airport Upgrading Project
A 3,850m-long, 60m-wide new runway was added to the existing 3,050m-long, 60m-wide
runwat with various facilities. Project was completed in 1987.

Design & Construction of New Aircraft Hangar at King Abdul Aziz International Airport for Staffs
Construction cost : US$ 1,864,864.
Description : Site Area 3,417 §³
Hangar Area H=11.4m. Others H=3.6 ~ 5.7m
Construction period : November 1983 to April 1984

Jubail Industrial Waste Water Treatment Plant
A waste water treatment plant with a daily capacity
of 41,500 §©, together with one administration
building and 10 other buildings in Jubail Industrial
City was completed in 1989.
