Second Highway Rehabilitation Project,
section Vinh to Dong Ha, Contract Nos. 1 & 2
Second Highway Rehabilitation Project, Section Vinh to Dong Ha, Contract No. 1, 65 km long
and 11 m wide, constructed September 1998 through September 2001.

In addition to the above, Samwhan, as a forerunner who pioneered in Vietnam for the first time
among Korean contractors in 1966, has successfully completed or currently exectes 5 more
major infrastructure projects in Vietnam as follows:

Construction of Highway Improvement Ql -1A from Saigon to Bien Hoa, completed in 1976;
National Highway No. 1 Bridge Rehabilitation Project, Package 3 - 19 Bridge between
Hochiminh City and Can Tho, substantially completed in 1999; Second Highway Rehabilitation
Project, Contract No. 2; Highway No. 18 Improvement Project, Package 2, Section from
Bac Ninh to Chi Linh, scheduled to be completed in 2003; National Highway No. 1 Bridge
Rehabilitation Project, Phase II-3, Package 1 - New Construction of Cau Lau Bridge,
scheduled to be completed in 2003; and Vietnam Three Cities Sanitation Project, Haiphong
Sub-Project, Contract No. HPSANP-C1C, scheduled to be completed in 2005.

this Project is playing an important role in Vietnam's econnomic circulation, connecting
Hochiminh City, the nation's economic hub, and Can Tho, the major port city of southern
part of the country.
Total project cost now amounts to more than US$42 mllion with the completion of the
original contract of the end of 1999.

National Highway No. 18 Improvement Project, Package 2
Section from Bac Ninh to Chi Linh
This Project is a part of an improvement project on the National Highway No. 18 connecting
Noi Bai Airport and Ha Long Bay, one of the best tourist affractions in Vietnam.
Total length is 29.6 km including 276 m-long 7 bridges with the width of 15m, scheduled to be
completed in February 2003.
