Samwhan started this work in 1982 and completed in 1986.
The client was Highway Authority, Republic of Yemen. This
project demonstrates Samwhan's
outstanding technical expertise and devoted performance. |

The 204km-long Yemen
Roads 43 & 44, linking Hodeidah and Harad.
This
was the first project executed in Yemen by a Korean contractor.
Started in May 1979, completed in March 1982. |

Hunt Oil Refinery Plant |
For years, Samwhan had
joined the Yemeni
Government and Hunt Oil Company of the
United States for prospecting and producing
crude oil in Republic of Yemen.
In 1984, oil was found in Marib oil field, an
area near the border between Yemen and
Saudi Arabia.
In 1985, for this joint project, Samwhan built
a refinery with an initial capacity of processing
10,000 bls of crude oil per day.
The whole project was expanded with
Samwhan's equity participation.

Holdeidah Water Supply
& Sewerage project was commenced in March 1979 and completed
in
March 1982.
This project comprises one 12km drinking water distribution,
110km pressure pipe line,
ten pump houses and two pumping ststions. |

Water Supply & Sewerage Project |

Samwhan started Sana'a
water supply and Sewerage Project in 1983 and completed
in 1988.
Sewerage lines network stretched to 171km in total. |
